The Project Coordinator will participate in a comprehensive program focused on improving financial and growth opportunities in the mining sector for women business owners living in Northern Ontario.

The development and delivery of a comprehensive sector/industry action plan to increase opportunities for industry sectors and communities to advance women in non-traditional practices, focusing on the mining sector. The Project Coordinator will focus on increasing opportunities for the development and participation of Northern women-owned businesses as suppliers to the mining sector in Northern Ontario (ie. Geological, geophysical, geochemical surveying, diamond drilling, mine design areas, etc.), and will build on existing industry partnerships to engage local women and stakeholders.
With Post Secondary Education in Business Economic development or a related field, you have experience working with the mining sector as a supplier or working with a mining company. You are a team player, positive and self-motivated. Experience in planning, consulting, communication and writing reports is required. French/Ojib-Cree languages, an asset.
WORKING AREA: you must be willing to travel extensively in Northwestern and Northeastern Ontario, including Remote communities; travel is mandatory to this position.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Executive Director (ED) HOURS OF WORK: minimum 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
