ABOUT THE PARTNER
The KALLPA Association is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that has been working since 1990 in the field of health in schools and health education, with four regional offices (Lima, Iquitos, Ayacucho and Cusco). KALLPA soon identified the need to expand beyond its specialization in health to address issues of employment and income generation, maintaining its focus on young people and their involvement in the process of defining sustainable communities. KALLPA has adopted the model of Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi de l’Outaouais and founded two Youth Employment Centers in October of 2009. There remains a need to continue support of the centers to achieve sustainability. This year, a new 3-year externally funded project will start in the formation of a business incubator to develop small business and entrepreneurs through business development services.
