Job Description

Working in conjunction with staff and management, the Communications Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and conducting marketing and outreach activities to community agencies, organizations, and employers.

Qualifications

Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant software
  • Work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with social media platforms
  • Interpersonal skills to work cooperatively and effectively with individuals and groups
  • Interact with individuals from different cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Knowledge and Education

  • Understanding Community Economic Development principles and practices.
  • Relevant post-secondary education and/or experience
  • Experience in public relations and marketing is desired
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with and reporting to the Quint Manager
  • Managing and increasing Quint’s presence on social media websites
  • Preparing external communications
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of Quint’s website
  • Creating press releases and garner media attention for Quint’s programs and events
  • Liaise and network by attending community meetings and events
  • Support the Marketing and outreach campaign of related organizations as directed
  • Support Quint Program objectives in reaching out to their stakeholders and partners
  • Other duties as required.
