General Accountability
The Intern, IGNITE program will join the TORONTO 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games Organizing Committee (TO2015) for an exciting internship and will assist the Community Outreach team in the
maintenance of the IGNITE program. The IGNITE program is a community partnership enabling individuals, organizations and communities to create their own Pan Am / Parapan Am Games initiative and/or increase awareness of existing initiatives by being associated with the TORONTO 2015 Games.
This role provides an unique opportunity for working closely to hundreds of non for profits, charities and associations of Toronto and region. In support of the incumbent’s academic goals, this dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a once-in-a-lifetime organization.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate meetings and working groups and preparing documents for consulate engagement meetings, the Community Engagement Council.
- Assist with daily administration of planning and development and engage and various outreach efforts for the “Ignite” program.
- Supports staff with opportunities for event and program enhancement.
- Assists with communication and maintenance of internal and external partnerships.
- Helps with promotion, execution and evaluation of events and programs.
- Provides general assistance to the Community Outreach function.

Educational/Technical Requirements
- Must be enrolled in a registered post-secondary program with an internship required for completion
- Proficient with Microsoft Office–Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint

- Highly resourceful, self-motivated and analytical.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of multiple sport event coordination, planning, and execution.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible to work long/irregular hours during peak periods.
