The Department of Business and Administration in the Faculty of Business and Economics at The University of Winnipeg invites applications for a Chair in Co-operative Enterprises. This tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor is expected to commence on July 1, 2015 or January 1, 2016.

Along with developing and maintaining an independent research program, the successful candidate will develop new courses in co-operative enterprises in consultation with the Department and the co-operative sector toward an undergraduate concentration in the area. The teaching load will encompass established courses in the emerging co-operative concentration, introductory business (BUS 1201; covers forms of business ownership, including co-operatives), and may include not-for-profit management until the concentration is established.

Liaison with professional associations will be required in educating students about business practices for co-operatives, raising awareness about co-operatives to the general public, and acting as a resource for evidence-based best practice to the business community. This program will further develop support and partnerships within the cooperative community in Manitoba and abroad.
