The Member Services Coordinator is the main point of contact for Peg City Car Co-op members and is responsible for ensuring that members are satisfied with the carshare service as a practical, convenient and cost-effective alternative to private vehicle ownership. To help with our growing membership and network of carshare vehicles, we need a dependable person who gets carsharing and how it works. Someone who is committed to and understands the individual, environmental and community benefits of "Bike. Walk. Bus. And Sometimes, Drive."
About the Position
The Member Services Coordinator position pays $17 per hour for 40 hours per week including 3 weeks paid vacation. Staffing schedule is Monday to Thursday plus either Friday or Saturday on a rotational basis. The position includes sharing on-call duties for evenings and weekends, which is compensated at a flat rate of $120 semi-monthly (taxable). Being on call will require use of a personal smart phone and may require travel to vehicle locations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process new member applications and conduct orientation sessions
- Respond to member service requests and general inquiries
- Work to resolve problems or issues for members
- Input and maintain member records and documents in adherence with privacy requirements
- Address lost and found items with members
- Maintain relationships with ‘Shop Local’ partners
- Assist as needed with outreach and marketing to increase membership
- Refuel and clean vehicles
- Track and record receipts for fuel purchases
- Gather and replenish vehicle supplies as required
- Conduct minor vehicle maintenance (e.g. change occasional tire, install wipers)
- Transport vehicles for ma intenance or repairs, and move vehicles as needed
- Install parking spot signage
Other duties:
- Provide information about carsharing and Peg City Car Co-op in a friendly, professional manner
- Provide support to other staff in the completion of their duties
- Attend evening committee and board meetings as needed
- Other tasks as required
Requirements:
- Hold a valid Manitoba Class F driver's licence and clean driving history
- Comfortable working with computers (e.g. Excel, Word, MailChimp, WordPress) and simple electronics
- Able to work a varied schedule including evenings and weekends
- Able and keen to interact with members in a professional manner
- Able and willing to complete physical tasks related to vehicles and signage installation
- Able to respond to time-sensitive vehicle issues
- Able to work independently and find solutions
- Willing to learn new skills and able to adapt quickly
- Interest in being part of a close-knit team
**Bonus points for experience with QuickBooks or French language skills
