Enterprise Program Innovator

You are here

Do you want to make an impact?

The Saint John Community Loan Fund is looking for an entrepreneur development guru that can add value to our enterprise development programs and help us launch more amazing enterprises.

We are a non-profit organization that helps individuals and organizations go after opportunity in order to create income, build assets, and ultimately have more economic independence. We are enterprising, and we enable the enterprise culture. The tools we use include loans, training, matching savings, coaching and even property development. We work with youth and adults. Most of what we do is available to anyone, but we definitely work with many more women than men. To know more about us, go to our website and do some surfing.

Your mission is to review our current enterprise development programing; add value to it; pilot it; help finance it; and launch it. We want a program that incorporates new thinking around business models and that provides both a for-profit micro enterprise stream and a social enterprise stream. We want professional, marketable, and impactful programs.

You are a creative thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset. You work hard. You want to make a difference. You think big and act locally. You don’t mind getting your hands dirty.

Your skills include: research, writing and developing program material; adult facilitation; evaluation; business analysis; marketing; and well, a lot more.

Your training and experience
We are not looking for a straight line here. It’s a combination. You may have earned a business degree and/or adult education degree. You may have launched your own business and/or helped others launch. You have helped individuals on low income as a job, or you volunteer and see it as part of your life’s mission. The sky is the limit.

To apply, pleases end a letter outlining your fit for this position and a resume and/or portfolio of your work. That’s of course the minimum, don’t be afraid to send anything else that tells your story and out lines your knowledge around program development, entrepreneurship, and business modelling. You can send us everything by email to loanfund at nbnet.nb.ca. We have a pretty short timeline: Saturday, May 23, midnight!
