Food Matters Manitoba is seeking an Administrative Assistant for a one year term, with possibility of extension. This position would be based out of Winnipeg, starting October 13, 35 hours per week, $15/hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Handle email, phone and general organizational inquiries;
• Handle routine office procedures such as phone calls, filing, photocopying, mailing, etc.;
• Monitor and maintain office inventory and supplies;
• Act as a point person for office issues (tech issues, staff meeting follow-up, etc.);
• Assist accountant with organizational finances (preparing invoices, expense forms, etc.);
• Assist in the coordination and logistics for organizational events and meetings;
• Attend and participate in staff meetings;
• Assist in maintaining the organizational contact database;
• Support the Office Manager in administrative tasks;
• Assisting with other tasks as required

ABOUT YOU:

• Highly organized with proven attention to detail;
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills;
• Self-motivated and a strong team player;
• Administration assistant experience or training;
• Experience in logistics and event planning;
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs;
• Financial processing experience an asset;
• Experience with Sumac software an asset;
• Experience with providing technical support an asset;
• Experience working in a non-profit environment an asset;
• Knowledge of and interest in food security an asset;
• A valid driver’s license;
• Access to a vehicle is considered an asset
