The Community Health Services (Saskatoon) Association Ltd. (CHSA), a member owned cooperative, seeks a high performing Executive Director to administer the affairs and properties of the Association. The CHSA owns and directs Saskatoon Community Clinic (SCC) and partners with others to provide other health services in the community. SCC provides services to a self-selected population with clients in a city centre location and to a largely low income and aboriginal population at a core neighbourhood location. In addition to directing SCC, CHSA advocates for public policies and programs that contribute to improve and equitable health outcomes for people in the community and the province. The CHSA has an annual budget of approximately 12 million dollars, employs 130 individuals (107 full time equivalent employees) and serves approximately 20,000 clients.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Post-secondary education with preference for a degree in Health Administration, Commerce, the Social Sciences or a professional designation.
- At least five years of progressive management experience in administration, Preference will be given to a background in primary or community-based health care.
- A thorough working knowledge of the governance model and co-operative sector in Saskatchewan is a definite asset.
- Experience in working with a Board of Directors, a working knowledge of team based primary health care and community health centres, health promotion, disease prevention and equitable health outcomes.
