Workplace Mediation Caseworker

This role is a one-year contract position. The individual will take responsibility for oversight, marketing and implementing the workplace mediation program in conjunction with the Community Resolution Centre Coordinator.

Mediation Services is a community based organization offering conflict resolution services to Manitobans since 1979. These services include comprehensive training in conflict resolution skills, and mediation for victims/offenders, families, neighbours, and workplaces/organizations. Mediation Services offers a great working and learning environment and is looking for someone who is highly motivated, has a positive attitude and is willing to play a supportive role in the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant post-secondary education.
  • 1-3 years working in the field of mediation or experience in a related field.
  • Familiar with marketing principles.
  • Excellent computer skills with relevant applications (e.g. MS Office, Outlook, etc)
  • Experience and training in workplace mediation.
  • Training and experience in case development processes, administration and documentation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with non-profit organizational structures an asset.
  • Positive attitude, self-motivated and high self-awareness.

Responsibilities:

  • Continue to develop and maintain systems, processes for files, record keeping and service delivery.
  • Prepare reports for MS Staff meetings and Board Meetings.
  • Assist in the development of the marketing materials.
  • Design and deliver presentations to groups and organizations.
  • Negotiate service proposals.
  • Deliver workplace assessment and intervention services.
  • Conduct casework, mediation and facilitation of group process.

Support and Accountability: This is a one-year contract position which reports to the Community Resolution Centre Coordinator.

Salary range: $31,550-40,252 per annum and is commensurate with education and experience (full benefit package after 6 months).
