Through United Way, people and organizations from across our community work together for a better Winnipeg.

In this newly created role, the Senior Manager, Family Resource Centre Initiative (FRCI) will work closely with the Director of Agency Relations and Allocations and the members of the Family Resource Centre Network to provide project management oversight for United Way of Winnipeg’s Family Resource Centre Initiative.  The successful candidate will lead the development of a collaborative network and shared services model amongst FRCs in Winnipeg as well as steward the investment strategies for service and program enhancements amongst United Way funded FRCs.  The Senior Manager, FRCI will work with a variety of partners to share information, network, and consult to support their work in the community and potentially develop future partnerships.  These partnerships will include:

  • Leadership of FRCs
  • Other FRCs not funded by United Way
  • United Way Winnipeg Staff and volunteers, including an FRC Vision Philanthropists volunteer group
  • Other funders

You’re a high energy person who takes initiative and demonstrates imagination and resourcefulness through the use of your strong problem solving skills.  You have demonstrated collaborative approach with staff, volunteers, and community members.  You also have the following attributes:

  • A relevant post-secondary degree/diploma and at least three to five years related experience working with not-for-profit organizations and/or neighborhood associations (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Working knowledge and skills in community development practices, volunteer management, and evaluation in the non-profit sector
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Strong project management skills with a proven ability to successfully deliver to deadline
