Mondetta Charity Foundation (MCF) is seeking an experienced self-motivated individual to serve as the organization’s Executive Director. Operating alongside Mondetta Clothing Company, MCF is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba at 1109 Winnipeg Ave. MCF partners with organizations in Uganda and Kenya to provide health, nutrition and education initiatives to children in need.
The Executive Director will be responsible for the leadership and management of MCF, according to the strategic direction set by the Board of Directors.
Core Responsibilities
- Plan and manage board-approved projects and policies
- Provide leadership and support to the Board’s planning of strategic priorities and goals
- Work closely with beneficiaries to implement and evaluate programs
- Act as the spokesperson and ambassador for MCF, promoting MCF’s mission and vision to funders, stakeholders and community
- Expand fundraising activities, including grant proposals, to support existing programs and achieve fundraising goals
- Prepare financial statements, manage donations and finances and present financial figures to board, stakeholders and donors
- Establish, manage and maintain relationships with businesses, funders, partners, stakeholders and other organizations
Qualifications
- Not-for-profit knowledge and experience
- Familiarity with poverty, human rights and social issues in East Africa
- Extensive fundraising and/or event-planning experience
- Proficiency in financial, administrative and organizational management
- Proven strategic planning skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal communication skills

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, coupled with non-profit experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered. The position’s salary will be commensurate with experience/qualifications.
