LITE is a small Public Foundation located and working in the Inner City of Winnipeg. With a focus on Community Economic Development, LITE marshalls donations and raises funds in support of initiatives that provide jobs and training to residents facing multiple barriers to employment.

Reporting to LITE’s Executive Director, the Operations Manager is responsible for conducting the general operations of LITE including the day to day financial operations, donation processing and donor communications, office administration, payroll input, volunteer management, as well as other areas such as providing board admin support. This position ensures that the operations at LITE run smoothly and the organization remains an accountable and stable organization.

Qualifications include:

  • Post secondary education
  • Bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and Giftworks are strong assets
  • Experience using basic Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft programs
  • Strong communications skills, written and oral
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task, learns quickly
  • Friendly, positive attitude, motivated to learn and works well in a team environment
  • Experience working in a non-profit environment and with boards, volunteers and  committees
  • Other assets: experience coordinating volunteers, ability to update a Word Press website, experience with Adobe programs.

The Operations Manager reports to the Executive Director. The work hours are flexible, however regular hours will be worked between 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Some evening and weekend work may be required periodically throughout the year. A valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle would be an asset.

Wage/Work Conditions: This is a term position, beginning as soon as possible. The wage is $18-$19.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications, 30 hours per week, with 2 weeks paid holidays. LITE is located in the Social Enterprise Centre, just north of Higgins and Main.
