Youth Agencies Alliance (YAA) is looking for a motivated and community-minded Evaluation Coordinator.
YAA is a network of 18 youth serving agencies in Winnipeg which aims to strengthen and enhance the capacity of its member agencies by improving and setting best practice standards for youth programming.
The YAA Evaluation Coordinator will report to the YAA Director and will be responsible for the implementation of a Youth Program Quality Assessment pilot, development and initiation of a collective measurement strategy, and creating a collective impact framework for YAA.
Responsibilities:
Youth Program Quality Assessment
- Serve as the conduit between member agencies and Weikart Center
- Facilitate the recruitment of sites and be the primary contact for participating agencies
- Recruit and manage staff to be external assessors
- Coordinate and participate in training sessions
- Conduct assessments, create site reports and conduct planning with data workshop
- Implement professional development and improvement plans with sites based on analysis
- Cycle through year 2 and 3 following similar process for incoming sites
Collective Measurement
- Scan of what member agencies currently track and determine commonalities
- Consultations to determine what is important for YAA to be tracking across our membership
- Develop plan for how YAA will use the information, and who it will be shared with
Collective Impact
- Scan of what is currently being done and research that exists in the community
- Analyze baseline data to identify key issues and gaps
- Create processes and decide on common agenda
- Engage community
- Establish shared metrics (indicators, measurement and approach)
- Facilitate and refine process
General
- Network and build relationships within the YAA membership and community partners
- Manage project budget and provide regular progress reports
- Ongoing member engagement and support
- Ensure appropriate updating and reporting to funders and stakeholders on a regular basis
Requirements:
- Effective leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively to achieve common goals
- Understanding of evaluation methods
- Experience managing project budgets
- Strong computer and professional writing skills; ability to prepare proposals and reports
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Enjoy working with a team and individually
- Ability to provide a current criminal record check and child abuse registry check
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Valid Manitoba Driver’s License
Assets:
- Experience working with community-based organizations and an understanding of youth serving organizations in Winnipeg
- Relevant post-secondary education or training
- Ability to work with diverse groups of individuals
- Access to a vehicle
Term: Term position until June 2019
Office Hours: 8:30am - 4:30pm, occasional evenings and weekends required
Salary: $18 per hour for a 35 hour work week
