The Co-operative Enterprise Council of New Brunswick (CECNB) is hiring a Communications and Administrative Assistant. This is intended as a full-time, home-based position. Must be under 30 years of age and a graduate of a post-secondary institution within the past 4 years. Deadline to apply is Jan 12th. (Applicant from New Brunswick preferred*)
The right candidate will have a strong background in Communications and excellent administration skills. They will:
- Be proficient in MS Office, spreadsheets, databases, graphic design, website management, and social media and digital marketing strategies;
- Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written (bilingualism is an asset but not a necessity);
- Able to prepare presentations and reports with strong attention to detail and have solid editing and researching skills;
- Have experience with Simply Accounting and able to carry out routine bookkeeping and clerical duties;
- Be self-directed, organized, and able to work with limited supervision;
- Have excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively;
- An understanding of co-operatives and the social enterprise sector is an asset.

The Communications and Administration Assistant will work directly with CECNB’s Executive Director in designing and implementing communications and social media strategies to engage, educate, promote, and advocate. They will also assist with basic administration duties including bookkeeping, website and database management, correspondence, scheduling, filing, and other clerical duties.
Salary: $15/hr for 35-40 hours per week
