Time frame: full-time beginning in March 2018

Reporting: The Administrative & Partner Follow-up Coordinator reports directly to the Program Manager. With special projects, the Coordinator will also provide secondary reporting updates to project leads where applicable according to the strategic plan.

Roles & Responsibilities

Administrative (0.5 of the position):

  • Responsible for all reception duties - answering telephone in timely and professional manner, greeting guests, coordinating incoming and outgoing mail and couriers.
  • Compose routine correspondence.
  • Order office and kitchen supplies.
  • Assisting with Board Meeting needs – room set-up, ordering lunch, etc.
  • Assist with booking vehicles, accommodation, etc.
  • Code, process and file vendor invoices.
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Partner Follow-up (0.5 of the position):

  • Improve existing away-from-home beverage container recycling initiatives throughout Manitoba through direct partner follow-up.
  • Assist with the processing of new bin agreements.
  • Contact past partners to verify contact information, bin counts, and schedule site visits.
  • Assist in conducting site visits to assess bins or related infrastructure needs, and educate on recycling Best Practices.
  • Assist in development of follow-up tools and resources.
  • Assist in developing contact lists for targeted mail-outs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrate robust organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Proven customer service, business development, and/or sales experience.
  • Possess a results driven attitude.
  • Possess a degree in the environmental field or related.
  • Adaptable and experienced with changing priorities, new projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Must be able to work with - and contribute to - a team-oriented environment while also
  • maintaining individual work capabilities.
  • Able to perform the physical duties of the job.
  • Willing to travel throughout Manitoba for work.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
  • Graphic design skills with experience in Adobe Creative Suite is an asset.
  • Knowledge of the waste management industry in Manitoba is an asset.
