Description: For this role, there’s no such thing as being “too detailed”!

The Donor Services Assistant is primarily focused on highly accurate processing and management of information related to pledges and other donor information. But we’re also looking for someone with a friendly personality who delivers exemplary customer service to donors. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance and a member of bargaining unit Unifor Local 191, the Donor Services Assistant also supplies support for other finance-related functions. Specifically, this position:

  • Enters various types of donor data and information into a constituent relationship management/revenue tracking system based on information provided from various sources in accordance with approved standards and procedures
  • Reviews donor data in the system for ongoing accuracy and integrity and correcting any errors found
  • Issues tax receipts and monthly donor account statements
  • Calls donors to assist them with updating expired credit card data in the system, inquire about status of pledge receivables, or to help them with tax receipt issuance
  • Performs pre-defined, routine data uploads
  • Assists others in the Finance Department by performing other duties as assigned

You are a values-driven team player who is very comfortable using technology. You also possess the following attributes

  • Highly accurate data entry/keyboarding skills
  • Computer software experience (including intermediate Excel, Word, and Outlook skills)
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with particular attention to detail
  • Professional and courteous phone manner
  • Respectful of confidentiality
  • Ability to learn and thrive in a dynamic, fast paced, changing environment and manage several tasks simultaneously. Able to work overtime for short amounts of time during Campaign season (October to January)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, to take initiative and be curious
  • High School Graduate, ideally with courses in business and/or bookkeeping
  • Minimum 2-3 years of related experience (customer service and/or data entry)

Candidates may be asked to complete a data entry and/or keyboarding test to confirm skill level.
