The Impact and Innovation Unit (IIU) is looking for its first cohort of Impact Measurement Fellows to inform and improve Government of Canada policies and programs.

Impact Measurement is a subset of outcome measurement which is concerned with attributing the measurable net changes in social, economic and/or environmental outcomes to investments, programs, activities or initiatives.

Impact Measurement Fellows will be employed by the Privy Council Office and will work within Government of Canada departments to advance program and policy work to support public sector innovation, outcomes-based funding programs, and improved results for Canadians.

Knowledge, skills, competencies, and abilities that we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of quantitative research design
  • Agility, dependability, initiative, values and ethics
  • Developing and maintaining partnerships
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Problem solving and project management skills
  • Ability to design impact measurement strategies
  • Communication skills

Asset: Experience designing and implementing program and policy evaluations in a multicultural or multi-sectoral program or initiative.

Duration: Term, 12-24 months

Open to: Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents

Location of work: National Capital Region

Remuneration: EC-06 ($92,483-$107,258)
Linguistic profile: Various (English, French, Bilingual [BBB/BBB])
Education: A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
A masters degree or a PhD from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology,
statistics or a related discipline would be considered an asset.

Condition of Employment : Must obtain a SECRET level security clearance
