Under the direction of the Senior Director of Reaching Home, the Finance Clerk is responsible for performing administration and financial duties that support delivery of homelessness funding as administered by End Homelessness Winnipeg. The Finance Clerk will be responsible for the collection and reporting of data based on information gathered from funded projects.
Specifically, the Finance Clerk will:
- Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer, the Senior Director, staff team to address homelessness in Winnipeg
- Monitor and maintain calendar for the Senior Director
- Compile contract data from funded projects
- Coordinate results reporting
- Monitor contract tracking systems
- Assemble draft agreements for review and authorization
- Ensure financial reporting is received in accordance with funding schedules
- Review proponent pay claims for accuracy
- Liaise with proponent financial officers as well other funders
- Prepare financial reports and submissions for the CEO, Senior Director and Service Canada
- Monitor physical and electronic files
- Develop, maintain and coordinate monitoring and tracking reports
You are collaborative, creative, and passionate about working with the community. You have the following qualifications or an equivalent combination of education and related experience:
- Post-secondary education or training in business administration and/or accounting
- Strong, interpersonal skills (oral and written)
- Highly developed organizational and records management skills
- Experience in project management
- Ability to compile, organize and disseminate statistical data
- Ability to work at an advanced level in a Windows environment
- General knowledge of contract administration
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with staff, external organizations and public
Salary range: $48,000-$55,645 depending on qualifications and experience
This unionized, permanent full-time position falls under MGEU Local 439
