The Council of Canadians with Disabilities (CCD), Canada’s cross-disability coalition of persons with disabilities, is seeking to fill the full-time position of National Coordinator.

The ideal candidate for this position must have an impressive track record of leadership through extensive experience in senior management positions within government or the not-for-profit sector; must be self-motivated with strong communication skills and be computer literate. Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset.

This position reports to the Council via the Chairperson of CCD with direction from the Executive and National Council.

The National Coordinator provides current background information to the Executive Committee, Board and Sub-Committees of CCD on a wide range of policies and issues impacting the lives of persons with disabilities, and is responsible for providing financial and organizational leadership including overseeing budgets and reporting to government and other funders as required.

The candidate for this position must also have had personal or professional experience with disability.

Some travel is required.

CCD's National Office is located in Winnipeg, but through the use of technology, the successful applicant can reside outside of Winnipeg.
