Description:
The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in helping ensure effective records management and program accountability, while assisting in the education and capacity building components of the program. This is a term position based in Ottawa.
Term: This is a full-time, term position to March 31, 2013.
Responsibilities:
The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in helping ensure effective records management and program accountability, while assisting in the education and capacity building components of the program.
Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain program files and document management systems
- Process payment requests and assist in financial records management
- Manage an in-kind contribution tracking system
- Help maintain program website (open-source, user-friendly)
- Assist in co-ordination of meetings and events, including a program conference
- Assist the Program Manager and Program Officers as required to ensure effective program delivery and documentation.
Qualifications include:
- University degree preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in administration and program support positions, with significant skill in financial administration
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, plus web-based research skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
Compensation:
$40 000 to $45 000 per annum, with full benefits package.
