Community Economic Development Intern - Musquodoboit Harbour Ratepayers’ & Residents’ Association

The Musquodoboit Harbour Ratepayers’ & Residents’ Association is seeking a Community Economic Development intern to work from October 4, 2010 to March 18, 2011 on developing a strategy to achieve the economic and environmental goals laid out in the Community Visioning statement. The intern will conduct research, support volunteers, and assist in the drafting of strategic planning documents and concrete action plans.

This internship is a part of CreateAction, a program of the Canadian CED Network funded by Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.

Food Connector - Ecology Action Centre

The Food Connections Project is focused on rebuilding the necessary skills we need to fully enjoy the food that is grown here. This project aims to increase our abilities to cook seasonally; to can, freeze, and store food for the winter; to take advantage of win-win relationships between farmers and consumers; to celebrate and enjoy our harvest.
