Free breakfast learning opportunity scheduled for Monday June 20th beginning at 7:45am here at Volunteer Victoria.  Please join staff & members of the Community Investment Network (CIN) in a presentation from guest speaker Kristi Fairholm Mader on the workings of the “Vancouver Island Social Innovation Zone”.  To quote from the VISIZ website, “The VISIZ works to strengthen collaborative relationships, activities & initiatives of post-secondary institutions, community, economic actors & government in support of enterprising approaches to social innovation on Vancouver Island”.  More information on the VISIZ can be found at www.visocialinnovation.ca

The Community Investment Network (CIN) is a member driven forum for business and community leaders whose organizations have created, or wish to create, a community investment program. Members connect quarterly to share ideas, learn, innovate and problem solve. At each session, a presenter profiles their organization’s community engagement initiatives.

Local Economic Development Lab Project Coordinator (Portland Hotel Society)

Commitment: 8 months, 35 hours/week (You are expected to work primarily out of the LEDlab offices in downtown Vancouver on a 9-4 schedule, although flexibility can be given to students finishing course work.)

End date: April 28, 2016

Local Economic Development Lab Project Coordinator (Potluck Cafe Society Project)

Commitment: 8 months, 35 hours/week (You are expected to work primarily out of the LEDlab offices in downtown Vancouver on a 9-­4 schedule, although flexibility can be given to students finishing course work.)
