2009 Provincial Labour Market Engagement Sessions

The Ministries of Housing and Social Development (HSD), Advanced Education and Labour Market Development (ALMD), and Community and Rural Development (CD) in collaboration with Service Canada, are providing an opportunity for a representative from your organization to participate in an engagement session to discuss the provincial labour market.

In particular, representatives from various government ministries are interested in engaging representatives from small business and industry, community economic development organizations, service provider organizations, educational institutions, and others, in a discussion regarding provincial employment, labour market services and community development. These sessions will provide government representatives with an opportunity to share and solicit information related to the labour market that will inform future program development and planning. Dialogue will focus on the array of programs and services offered by the province and where government is moving to improve these for the public and clients.

There will be a session in Surrey on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 from 8:30am to 4:30pm at:
Eaglequest Golf at Coyote Creek
7778 - 152nd Street, Surrey, BC V3S 3M4

For those who are unable to attend the engagement session in person, please consider participating in one of the online engagement sessions. These sessions will be conducted using Microsoft Office Live Meeting, a conferencing solution, which enables video feed, document sharing, and discussion.
