CCEDNet adds name to supporters of YouthCount.ca

YOUTH SPEAK UP - Will the candidates listen?

CCEDNet is proud to be part of YOUTH COUNT an alliance of not for profit organizations that promote youth engagement that has launched a website meant to bring youth issues to the forefront of the 2008 federal election.

WWW.YOUTHCOUNT.CA allows users to quickly and easily send emails to the candidates in their home ridings asking them to position themselves on this issue.

Call for Proposals - CED Work Experience Program

The Canadian CED Network (CCEDNet) is pleased to announce the recent extension of its CED Work Experience Program, CreateAction. This program is funded by Service Canada. Its purpose is to give out-of-school post-graduate youth, who have a career focus in CED, a relevant six-month work experience placement. We are recruiting up to 20 community-based CED organizations to host work experience participants from September 8, 2008 - February 20, 2009 inclusively.

The Canadian Community Economic Development Network (CCEDNet) Board of Directors regrets to announce the resignation of Rupert Downing, Executive Director. After more than six years in the position, Mr. Downing will be leaving us to move on to other areas of interest in the CED field while setting aside time to work on personal projects.
