This report draws together information from all of the research projects conducted as part of the Manitoba Research Alliance on Community Economic Development in the New Economy. It includes sections on: defining the New Economy and women in the New Economy and defining Community Economic Development and the state of CED in Manitoba. It then discusses women and CED, with reference to productivity, multiple bottom line and collective resources, inclusiveness, and women’s participation in the economic planning process. It explores the relationship between women and CED in rural communities, Aboriginal communities, and among young women. The report also includes a bibliography of selected MRA reports used for this kit.
