An Introduction to Social Enterprise
Social enterprise. Whether subsidized, self-funding or profitable, these initiatives combine business methods with a drive to better the world.
Blending financial goals with your mission for social, cultural or environmental impact is another tool your organization can use to work towards financial stability while still feeling connected to your larger purpose. This supports the broader vision of the Canadian Community Economic Development Network: sustainable and inclusive communities directing their own social, economic and environmental futures.
Join us for a free 90 minute session of what social enterprise is (and isn’t), how it can help your organization work towards financial stability, and how to get one off the ground.
You’ll learn:
- Three social enterprise financial models
- Key exploration and development steps for starting or expanding your social enterprise
- How to assess your organization’s readiness and take the next step
This session will be delivered by CCEDNet Manitoba using Zoom.
This is the first in a series of workshops designed to help you learn about social enterprise and then, if you’re interested, take the next steps in the development process.
Possible arrangements may be made to have support provided outside of these workshops by a trained social enterprise coach to help you get up and running.
This session will take place on September 22, from 9:30 to 11:00am CT. (We will also be hosting the session on October 27, from 9:30 to 11:00).
