The Ontario Social Economy Roundtable (OSER) is seeking an experienced bilingual project manager to manage Roundtable activities in the first phase of Building the Ontario Social Economy, a province wide project funded through the Ontario Trillium Foundation. Accountable to the Project Collaborative Steering Committee, the manager will work with OSER to operationalize a confirmed workplan.

This is a 6 month position for 20 hours per week contracted with the Canadian Community Economic Development Network.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage implementation of a communications plan
- Create RFP to sub-contract communication work and website development
- Build a portal at Basecamp.com to host all historical notes and minutes
- Move the organizing committee from e-mail discussions and exchange of information into a hosted environment (register a domain name)
- Facilitate consultation process with the on-line community and synthesize feedback in writing
- Support process to broaden round table membership
- Develop an engagement model to operate in two official languages and welcome new members
- Develop a one page overview of OSER membership roles and responsibilities to help with recruitment
- Work with current Roundtable members to identify new groups that need to be around the OSER table
- Organize all meeting logistics for Roundtable meetings
- Manage the development of the draft discussion paper working with a small advisory group
- Co-ordinate responses to the existing draft
- Facilitate the editing and translation process
- Prepare OSER for the regional meetings
- Coordinate meetings with other networks organizing regional meetings (ONN, CCEDNet, OnCo-op)
- Identify and work with host organizations in each community
- Develop detailed work plan for each of the regional meetings
- Develop RFP and contract regional facilitation
- Manage OSER engagement and consultation and ensure input data is recorded and synthesized
- Prepare for OSER portion of the Fall Summit
- Coordinate with other networks organizing the social economy Fall summit events
- Develop detailed workplan for the OSER engagement and consultation process
- Manage implementation of summit workplan
- Finalize Project Budget
- Work with the Canadian CED Network to finalize a project budget that accurately reflects the project commitments
- Support Completion of Funding Reports
- Work with the Canadian CED Network to meet all of the reporting requirements of Ontario Trillium Foundation funding
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience with project management with multiple partners
- Strong organization skills
- Experience with web 2.0 technology and social networking tools
- Experience in negotiating and monitoring contracts
- Comfortable working independently
- Experience working with a volunteer board
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and French
- Proven ability to work inclusively with people from a range of ethnic, racial and cultural backgrounds, with sensitivity to diversity of income, age, ability and sexual orientation
Compensation:
$700/week
