Northern Program Intern

Food Matters Manitoba is seeking a Northern Program Intern for an internship from July 11, 2016 to January 27th, 2017. The Northern Program Intern will work to support programs in 13 northern communities by assisting with logistics, tool and resource development, and assisting community partners.

This Northern Program Internship is offered as part of Food Matters Manitoba’s Good Food Internship Program and is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada.

Internships pay $16 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay) for 37.5 hours per week.

Community Food Facilitator

Food Matters Manitoba is seeking a Community Food Facilitator beginning July 2016. The Community Food Facilitator works with Food Matters Manitoba’s North End programs with corner stores and community agencies to increase the availability of healthy food in the community. The Facilitator will also assist in the evaluation and final report writing for the Our Food Our Health Our Culture project.

SEED Winnipeg Inc.’s mission is to reduce poverty and assist in the renewal of primarily inner city communities by providing capacity building services that assist low income individuals and groups, organizations and economically distressed neighborhoods to improve their social and economic vitality.

SEED is seeking a full-time Manager for the B.E.S.T. Programs to coordinate and manage the operations and service delivery; including staffing, program management, procedures and systems, revenue generation and appropriate reporting of program outcomes and accomplishments.

Volunteer Coordinator

I. Position Summary

The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training and placing volunteers to provide services to family caregivers of older adults in the City of Winnipeg.  Performance of duties requires contact with public and private agencies providing services to seniors, caregivers and volunteers as well as extensive contact with the general public in promoting and publicising the program.

The position is funded by Support Services to Seniors, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA).  The organization is overseen by a Board of Directors.

Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation Consultant

The Coalition of Manitoba Neighbourhood Renewal Corporations (CMNRC) is made up of thirteen non-profit organizations that represent resident and community interests in a combination of urban and rural locations across Manitoba. CMNRC was created in 2011 to give Manitoba’s Neighbourhood Renewal Corporations (NRCs) a venue to work collaboratively on planning, projects and initiatives of common interest.
