Youth Engagement Co-ordinator

The Manitoba Council for International Cooperation is a coalition of organizations involved in international development, who are committed to:

  • Respect, empowerment and self-determination for all peoples;
  • Development that protects the world’s environment; and
  • Global understanding, cooperation and social justice.

MCIC’s mission as a coordinating structure is to promote public awareness of international issues, to foster member interaction, and to administer funds for international development.

Artists + Community Symposium: Train of Thought Winnipeg

ACI Manitoba presents the fourth Artists + Community Symposium; Train of Thought Winnipeg, in partnership wth Jumblies Theatre's national Train of Thought project.

Train of Thought Winnipeg will kick off at The Forks on Friday, May 22, 2015 with daytime guided site tours and activities. In the evening we will feature a panel of Winnipeg’s leading community arts organizations followed by a reception. Saturday will be filled with a whole day of workshops at 245 McDermot, led by Train of Thought guests from across the country and local community artists. On Saturday night, we will enjoy a live Art and Performance Chew Chew Banquet with the Urban Indigenous Theatre Company. Sunday will be a time to celebrate and make art together, with community arts activities, drums, dancing, and singing for all at The Forks Oodena Celebration Circle. Lastly, Sunday night we will send off the Train of Thought with a departure ceremony at the VIA Rail Station.
