BUILD is a large and nationally recognized social enterprise and training program that hires multi-barriered people to provide energy and water retrofits in lower- income dwellings and neighbourhoods. This is a new position that will work as part of a management team to provide effective governance, financial management, and human resource leadership.

The Manitoba Urban Inuit Association (MUIA) is a new organization, looking for the right person to become its first Executive Director. The successful candidate has at least 3 years of experience managing an organization, has completed a relevant college or university program, has knowledge of Inuit and Arctic issues, and is a self-starter able to build an organization from the ground up.

CED in Manitoba Profiles

The Canadian CED Network's CED in Manitoba Profiles Project will include 50 stories of Manitoba communities working to build fairer and stronger local economies, reduce poverty, and revitalize neighbourhoods.

Not all of the initiatives highlighted in the Project use a fully comprehensive CED approach, but each represents an important component of a CED solution.

2012 World University Service of Canada International Forum

 

Join World University Service of Canada for our 2012 International Forum where we will explore the theme “Youth Leading Change – Aspirations to Action”.
 
This year’s theme is: Youth Leading Change – Aspiration to Action. The forum will bring together WUSC’s institutional and student members, alumni and partners as well as members of the international development and policy community. This year’s forum will prioritize the voices of youth in the discussion of global issues.
 
The forum program will be a familiar format as those in years past and will explore the following sub-themes: (1) Turn Up the Volume: Youth Voices for Social Change (2) Show us the Money: Economic Opportunities for Youth (3) Keeping up the Momentum: Everyday Global Citizenship.
