About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and delivery of the Heart Medicine Lodge program. Heart Medicine Lodge is an essential and unique Indigenous-led program that provides culturally-based support and advocacy services for Indigenous women, and those who identify as women, who have experienced sexual assault and/or sexual violence.

Program Officer

Under the direction of the Senior Director of Reaching Home, the Program Officer is responsible for receiving and reviewing funding proposals under the federal Reaching Home strategy, as administered by End Homelessness Winnipeg. The Program Officer will provide analysis of funding proposals, complete recommendation reports, complete funding agreements, monitor projects and payments as detailed in legal agreements.

Reporting to the Chalmers Neighbourhood Renewal Corporation (CNRC) board of directors, the executive director provides leadership and support to inspire neighbourhood renewal in Chalmers. The 2019-23 Chalmers Neighbourhood Plan and the 5-Year Housing Plan provide an overall direction for the executive director, who works collaboratively with Neighbourhoods Alive! (NA!), local organizations, residents and key community stakeholders.
