Federal Cuts to Co-ops Will Hurt Communities

On April 13, the Canadian Cooperative Association and the Conseil canadien de la coopération et de la mutualité shared news that the Co-operative Development Initiative and almost all of the Rural and Co-operative Secretariat had fallen victim to government cuts. At a time of economic volatility, this decision will hurt community economies and employment where it is needed most across Canada.
