Term: This is a 6-month term position at 35 hours per week with a likely extension beyond June 2017. The position is shared between two programs: 3 days/wk with Active and Safe Routes to School and 2 days/wk with Workplace Commuter Options.
The Laurel Centre is a non-profit agency providing therapy and support services for women who have experienced childhood or adolescent sexual victimization and want to resolve long term effects of the abuse. The agency recognizes mental health challenges and addictions as some of the long-term consequences related to unresolved trauma.

Shaun Loney, a longtime member of the Canadian CED Network, is an Ashoka Fellow (first in Canadian Prairies) and Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year (2014). He has co-founded and mentored 11 social enterprises including BUILD Inc (2011 Scotia Bank EcoLiving Green Business of the year and 2013 Manitoba Apprenticeship Employer of the Year). Shaun was Director of Energy Policy for the Government of Manitoba (2002-2008 and political advisor to Gary Doer's NDP (1997-2002).
