24 Hour Safe Space Outreach Worker (Full Time)

Spence Neighbourhood Association is looking to fill a FULL TIME (37.5 hour per week) 24 hour Safe Space Outreach Worker position. The Outreach worker will work overnight from 11:00pm to 7:00 am Friday, Saturday and School holidays.  Outreach workers will be responsible for  programming and building relationships with youth at the Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre by engaging high-risk youth with positive activities, performing risk assessments, connecting them to community resources and social services and providing them mentorship.

Communications Intern

Food Matters Manitoba is seeking a Communications Intern for an internship from November 1, 2016 to February 28th, 2017. The Communications Intern will work to maintain and develop communications materials including the FMM website, e-newsletter, annual report, and social media content.

This Communications Internship is offered as part of Food Matters Manitoba’s Good Food Internship Program and is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada.
Internships pay $16 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay) for 37.5 hours per week.

Shaun Loney, a longtime member of the Canadian CED Network, is an Ashoka Fellow (first in Canadian Prairies) and Ernst and Young's Entrepreneur of the Year (2014). He has co-founded and mentored 11 social enterprises including BUILD Inc (2011 Scotia Bank EcoLiving Green Business of the year and 2013 Manitoba Apprenticeship Employer of the Year). Shaun was Director of Energy Policy for the Government of Manitoba (2002-2008 and political advisor to Gary Doer's NDP (1997-2002).
