Business Manager

The Business Manager attends to all matters related to the financial management of the Aulneau Renewal Centre, providing professional financial advice and direction. He/she prepares financial documents, licensing paperwork and other legal forms required by provincial and federal regulatory bodies. He/she is also responsible for the establishment of financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems and shall be responsible for the supervision of general accounting, accounts receivable, collection and payroll of Aulneau Renewal Centre.

Violence Prevention Project Coordinator

Spence Neighbourhood Association is looking to fill a project position (6 month Maternity leave position with potential for extension) as a Violence Prevention Project Coordinator. The Violence Prevention Project was a really successful 24 week program ran this past year. We are entering the second phase of the project where we are looking to empower young people in our community to be leaders in violence prevention. The coordinator will run weekly sessions with teens from our community, along with a girls group and other related activities at the Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre.

SEED Winnipeg will provide an overview of how their financial empowerment programs have supported access to stable and affordable housing.  SEED’s presentation will highlight their Inner City Homebuyer IDA Program, which provides financial literacy education as well as down paymentand closing cost assistance to low-income families through a 1:1 savings-matching program.

Boston, MA based Compass Working Capital will also be on hand to discuss their Family Self-Sufficiency Program, the first public-private partnership of its kind in the U.S. offering a scalable housing-based model that helps residents of federally subsidized housing to build financial security and reduce reliance on public assistance.
