Youth Mental Health Promotion Worker

The Youth Mental Health Promotion Worker (YMHPW) is responsible for CMHA Winnipeg’s overall youth mental health promotion initiative, which includes the research, design, and delivery of workshops and programming. The position will involve both school based and post-secondary mental health promotion programming, collaboration work with other agencies, and the maintenance and coordination of a youth speaker’s bureau. Communications activities will include engagement with both traditional media and social media platforms.

Community Involvement Manager

We are seeking a Community Involvement Manager to join our team. In this role, the successful candidate will work primarily with the Winnipeg Poverty Reduction Council (WPRC) supporting community initiatives identified by WPRC and assisting with the implementation of the WPRC’s agenda and actions.

The report, Financial Counselling for People Living on Low Incomes: International Scan of Best Practices, summarizes research undertaken in response to growing demand from low-income consumers for personalized financial support to help them tackle financial challenges like debt, difficulty accessing benefits, and financial planning for the future. Different jurisdictions have taken different approaches to meeting this demand, but practitioners and other experts in Canada, the US, the UK, and Australia share some similar views when it comes to their thoughts on best practice.
