The Neighbourhood Immigrant Settlement Worker (NISW) provides support to refugee and immigrant newcomers who are settling primarily into the Seven Oaks community. The NISW reports directly to the Seven Oaks Adult Learning Centre and works cooperatively with the Centre to support all of their programming goals.
Terms of Employment:
26.25 hours/week- flexible hours that includes evenings and weekends
Salary: $17 -20/ hour with benefits, 3 weeks vacation/year
Local Investment Toward Employment (LITE) is a non-profit granting organization that
supports community economic development (CED) initiatives that build capacity and provide
jobs in Winnipeg’s inner city.
The Communications Intern will be responsible for implementing the external communications
strategy set by LITE’s Development Committee for the coming year.
The Winnipeg Rental Network is seeking a highly motivated team-player to undertake an outreach campaign within Winnipeg’s inner-city. The Winnipeg Rental Network wishes to expand its outreach work to provide greater access and resources for affordable rental accommodations. This position will be located in the offices of the North End Community Renewal Corporation.
Start Date: early April 2012 1 year contract with possibility of renewal
Terms: $16.50 - $18.00/hr 30 hours/week
Food Matters Manitoba is seeking a Northern Food Security Assistant. This position would be based out of Winnipeg and includes travel to Northern and First Nation communities, 20 hours per week from April till September, $13-15/hr based on qualifications with the possibility of extension and additional hours.
