The Council of Canadians with Disabilities (CCD), Canada’s cross-disability coalition of persons with disabilities, is seeking to fill the full-time position of National Coordinator.

The ideal candidate for this position must have an impressive track record of leadership through extensive experience in senior management positions within government or the not-for-profit sector; must be self-motivated with strong communication skills and be computer literate. Ability to communicate in both official languages is an asset.

System Navigator Project Manager

The Council of Canadians with Disabilities (CCD), which promotes an accessible and inclusive Canada, seeks a highly skilled, dynamic service innovator, manager and leader, who will be responsible for implementing a project to test a new model for a key disability-related service, system navigation which will assist people with disabilities way-find though the complex disability income and service system.

CCEDNet's 2020 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on...

10am - 11:30am Pacific Time, 11am - 12:30pm Mountain, 12pm - 1:30pm Central, 1pm - 2:30pm Eastern, 2pm - 3:30pm Atlantic, 2:30pm - 4pm Newfoundland

This year's AGM repeats the success of the last five years by being entirely virtual and bilingual. Members are able to make motions, vote and comment in English or French, all from the comfort of their computer. 

This year, the AGM will be 90 minutes long.

Settlement Support Worker

Settlement Support Worker is a member of the Community Support team; and provides direct services to the participants of the Settlement Support Program. The Settlement Support Worker will provide a welcoming space for newcomers, build relationships, provide support through the Settlement Support Program, and will connect newcomers to their community by providing opportunities for cross-cultural interaction and education.

Drawing on her decades of experience in this  area, Dr. Jessica Gordon-Nembhard, a professor at John Jay College, City University of New York, and member of the U.S. Cooperative Hall of Fame, will explain why creating real change will take more than diversity and inclusion.
