On Co-op Regional Roundtable Series - Kingston

To continue building on the momentum and the success the Ontario Co-operative Association (On Co-op) have had over the past two years with their Regional Conference and Roundtables, they are increasing their efforts to engage more individuals and organizations in these unique learning and networking opportunities. More importantly, instead of you going to one provincial conference, On Co-op will be coming to you!

Under their "Co-op Outreach" banner, On Co-op will be travelling across the province with a series of 6 Conferences and 30 Roundtables, with the goal of fostering:

  • Local co-op clusters/networks
  • Community collaboration
  • Capacity-building
  • Co-op development

  • The Regional Food Hub project is being spearheaded by the Local Organic Food Co-ops (http://cultivatingfoodcoops.net/).  There is so much good stuff happening around food in Ontario. Learn what’s happening and how you can help support this important project
  • We will be highlighting local Business Development Centres regarding their services for existing co-operatives and also to provide insight into how they can support new and upstart co-operative enterprises.
  • Enlightenment about the Co-operative Community Provincially and in Southwestern Ontario

Celebrate a culture of "yes" in TO at YIMBY 2014! Connect with 70+ Toronto-based community groups, your neighbours, and local politicians to learn about good ideas and good action going on Toronto's neighbourhoods.

Meet groups involved in community development, civic engagement, environmental action, culture, and collaborative consumption.

Attend panel discussions focused on community development and sharing economies and take in a series of flash presentations by YIMBY participants.
