  • Facilitate community events and educational workshops
  • Respond to phone, email, and web-based questions related to sexual health
  • Distribute harm reduction materials and provide risk reduction education to clients
  • Create and manage sexual health and harm reduction resources

The job is part time, 46.5 hours per two-week period (including holiday pay hours). The regular work days for this position may vary depending on operational needs.

Dr. Bruno Dyck
is a professor at the Asper School of Business. He will describe the larger context and characteristics of sustainable organizations with his presentation titled “Context and hallmarks of sustainable organization: recent research.” With over 20 years of research experience in sustainability, Dr. Dyck teaches the course “Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility.”

Ken Berg
is the Winnipeg store manager for Mountain Equipment Co-op. Mr. Berg will share how sustainability is seamlessly integrated into MEC’s business. He will also discuss how MEC became a leader in both sustainability and in the outdoor equipment retail industry. The co-op believes that sustainability is not just an ethical consideration but also a smarter way to do business.

Composting Program Intern

The Position: 

Green Action Centre, a non-profit environmental organization, seeks an individual who is independent, energetic, organized and committed to sustainability to fill an intern position with our Composting program.  The position will provide public education on composting practices and benefits to the general public, schools, workplaces and community groups in Manitoba.  The intern will work as part of a team with other Green Action Centre composting staff.

Under the supervision of the Childcare Coordinator, the Childcare Worker is a competent individual committed to IRCOM’s vision and mandate to empower newcomer families to integrate into the wider community through affordable transitional housing, programs, and services. This staff is a detail oriented, efficient and resourceful individual with strong interpersonal, organizational skills, able to meet the challenges of working with a culturally diverse group of community members.
